Devil’s Temptation
New cupcakes from Prince Bakery 太子餅店 in Sheung Wan bought by Chan Bean. Not only do they look adorable, they taste lovely as well. It is no doubt an evil temptation from the Devil for a sweet-stuffs-addict like me who desperately need a diet.
Offered at $12/pc only for a limited period of time. ($18/pc original price) Read the rest of this entry »
Bun Me!
Different from most Vietnamese restaurants in town, Bun Me! in Central (well actually Sheung Wan) mainly offers Vietnamese baguette, or banh-mi (越南法包), which is a cold Vietnamese sandwich made of French baguette with a choice of fillings including Vietnamese sausage. No kidding it’s the best Vietnamese baguette in town.
VeggieSF
Our “(At Least) 1 Decent Lunch Per Month” project finally kickoff again after Bean’s maternity leave. Since she’ll be on veggie diet all through June, our first destination is an American-style veggie restaurant called VeggieSF on Stanley Street. This cozy little place is definitely a surprise!
New Fave — Beet Root
I first came across this funny veggie in 1992. My mom and I, together with 2 other friends were then traveling on the Eurostar where we met a decent German lady named Brenda and she invited us to her house. She planted lots of beets in her garden and made us 2 big beet pies. I can’t recall exactly how I felt when I put that thing into my mouth. The color was so bright and strange that it looks like artificial color. After that, I’ve never put my eyes on them.
Kuala Lumpur
Brunch Time @ Brunch Club, Central
Bean and I were searching for place to have a nice lunch at Soho in Central. And we ended up here. — The Brunch Club, 70 Peel Street, Central.
Singapore. Day 1.
I can’t remember if it’s the n-th time I traveled to Singapore.
The main purpose of this trip is to experience the power of the Singapore F1 Grand Prix. And of course, eat and relax.
